Arashi Do Spar Wars
February 22 we will be hosting a special “Warm Up” Tournament. This will be one of several practice tournaments that we will hold throughout the year.
Who should compete?
Beginners – This is a great opportunity to challenge some of the skills you have been practicing and see how well you can do them in a stressful (but fun) environment.
Competitors – If you regularly compete this is the perfect time to work on new skills you are developing or practice “B” game techniques.
Instructors – A very good opportunity to stay active and refine some of your less used skills.
The cost for this event is kept very low to encourage everyone to come out, especially those new to competition. It will be only $20 for 2 divisions and $10 for each division after that. Ribbons will be awarded to all competitors.
Schedule for the day:
9 am: Children 4-7, Little Dragons, Mini Monkeys and Tiny Thaigers
11:30am: Youths 8-15, Karate, BJJ and Muay Thai
12:30pm: Adult Karate Forms and Sparring
1pm: Adult BJJ, Gi and No Gi
3pm Adult Muay Thai Sparring and Pad Demo
This tournament will be held at the South Arashi Do Dojo at 4634 99st. Please be changed and registered 30 minutes before your event is scheduled.
This is a great “Warm Up” tournament for those planning to compete at the Capital City Championships held March 22 in Edmonton. See HERE for more info on the Capital City Event.
